the funniest thing 4kids did in gx was when they changed edos backstory from his father being murdered to his father being kidnapped, but they couldn't actually write around edos confrontation with DD, so they made it so his dad did die after all and DD actively lied to edo about his dad being alive somewhere. which is like. kind of more fucked up? in the same tier as of them killing off judai. they accidentally made the situation worse for themselves.
